Founded in early 1992, the Young Professionals for Covenant House is a group of individuals, ages 21-45 who attend social and networking events to raise money and awareness for Covenant House Florida. Since its inception, the overall financial contribution that YPFCH has made to Covenant House Florida is $1,675,000.

When you attend our monthly after-work happy hours and quarterly special event parties, all proceeds from your admission go directly to help the homeless, runaway, and at-risk youth of Covenant House Florida. Get involved in our Monday night volleyball league at Pompano Community Park, join our Monday night softball team, volunteer for our monthly "Kids Fun" activity nights at the shelter, and vacation with us on our annual cruise and ski trips.

We host quarterly "Icebreaker" meet 'n' greets for new and prospective members, as well as quarterly YPAC (Young Professionals Actvities Club) sporting events. The Young Pro's has something for everyone!

Are you new to town, looking to expand your circle of friends, or wanting to get involved? Join our Board of Directors or Special Events Committee! Young Pro’s Board Members…Attend one board meeting per month (usually the first Wednesday of the month), Assist with planning events and activities, Raise awareness of YPFCH and Covenant House Florida in the community, Seek sponsorships for events, Greet new members at events, and more!

Not able to commit to being a board member? Join our Special Events Committee! Special Events Committee Members… Serve on the committee for 4 months at a time (from August - November, December - March, or April - July), Attend 1-2 committee meetings per month (usually the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of the month), and Assist with planning and details for special events

Covenant House Florida serves runaway, homeless, and at-risk youth under 21 including teen parents and their babies. Every day, we reach over 200 kids in Fort Lauderdale and Orlando via street outreach, crisis shelters, transitional housing projects, and aftercare, making Covenant House Florida one of the largest private agencies serving runaway and homeless youth in the state of Florida.Covenant House Florida opened in Ft. Lauderdale in 1985 and expanded to Orlando in 1995. Since then, we have sheltered over 30,000 youths.
